Grand Canyon

Some people believe that visiting the Grand Canyon is an in and out visit. Well, they could not be more wrong. There is much more to do, and see than meets the eye. The picture shown is of the beautiful Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon.

When you go to the Grand Canyon, you must make sure to make a stop at the Grand Canyon Village. Here at the village, you will encounter beautifully crafted statues, souvenir galore, and a hike that will make you feel like you are living the cowboy life.

While visiting the Grand Canyon, you should try to hit up some of Arizona’s finest dinning. The El Tovar Dining Room has a rustic and rugged atmosphere, along with a great view at the Grand Canyon. The El Tovar is well known for their breakfast menu and the large portions you receive. So make sure to give a call and make reservations for some breakfast. This is a hot spot, so you should plan ahead to get a table. If you take the Pink Jeep Tours, you could pay a little extra and get a meal at the El Tovar. It can be a bit pricey, but the experience of dinning with a view at the Grand Canyon is worth a thousand words.

Another great location for excellent dinning is the Bright Angel Restaurant. The Bright Angel Restaurant has great service and superb food. They are also known for having an amazing breakfast, so get their early to grab a table. What says a vacation more than sipping a cup of coffee on the rim of the Grand Canyon?

When on vacation, you must relax and try to experience new things. Well, if you are at the Grand Canyon you have to ride a mule. That’s right, taking a Mule Trip is a very therapeutic way to enjoy the Grand Canyon in a different light. There is a seven hour plateau point trip that is recommended by tourists. However, be warned. This trail can be scary for people who do not like heights. The mules come very close to the edge, so the first five, to ten minutes might give you some high anxiety. Have no fear, the mules have been doing it for years and know the trails better than anyone. Also, take note that a 7 hour mule ride can be a bit bumpy and sore on your rear. So, make sure to bring some Advil to sooth the pain. You have seen it in the movies and on television, now it is time to try it out yourself.

Before you leave, make sure to check out the Tusayan Ruins and Museum. Here you will find the ruins of a small Anasazi village that dates back to the late 1100s. This pueblo excavation has path walking paths, with a walking time of approximately thirty minutes. Admission is free, so be sure to stop by.

From the spectacular views, to the western style atmosphere, the Grand Canyon is sure to leave you breathless. So make sure to explore everything there is to see at the Grand Canyon. Don’t forget to bring the Advil for the mule trip.
