Spain Travel Tips
Ah Spain. From gallivanting through Madrid to parading through Barcelona to venturing down south to Seville, Spain is a magic place. While you might be anxious to rush off to Spain, it's wise to know a few things first.
Spain Weather
If there's one thing I know about travel, it's that the weather can make or break the whole adventure. The summers in Spain typically hover around 100ºF daily. If you hate the heat, don't visit Spain during June, July or August.
May is a great time to visit Spain, because the temperatures are still pleasant. If you want a slightly cooler atmosphere, try October or November. Fall is very beautiful.
Fiesta De San Fermin
You probably have heard about the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Well, it's the Fiesta De San Fermin that spawns that event. Every July 6th – 13th the festivities take place, and daring participants try to prove their bravado by running with the bulls through the streets of Pamplona.
Lover's Day
In America, we celebrate St. Valentines Day on February 14th. It's a day for lovers to exchange romantic gifts and affection. Spain has something similar. It's called Festa de Sant Jordi. The day is April 23rd, and women and men celebrate this popular day. As in America, women get roses.
Crowded Spain Beaches
Do you hate the crowds? If you do, try to stay away from Spain during the months of July and August. These are prime months for swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Tourists and residents alike flock to the beaches to enjoy themselves.
You just might find a shop you just have to visit is closed due to the owner hitting the beach.
