Seville - Spain

Seville is Spain's fourth largest city and a great place to take a vacation. In Seville, you'll find museums, shops, restaurants and landmarks all within convenient walking or biking distance from each other. Seville features a warm, subtropical climate and famous orange trees that visitors can easily pluck fruit from. If you're going to Seville, Spain, there are some things you simply must see and do.

The Plaza de Espana is located in Seville's beautiful Parque Maria Luisa and is a major tourist attraction. This stunningly designed plaza was first constructed in 1929 and features a canal where you can take a relaxing boat ride. Another great attraction in Seville is the Espacio Cultural Puerta Triana, a cultural center where visitors can immerse themselves in culture and even watch films on a giant curved screen.

After you've gotten your fill of culture, have some fun at Isla Magica. This amusement park features exciting rides, live entertainment and fun activities for kids and adults alike. If you get hungry while in Seville (and you will,) there are a variety of fantastic restaurants featuring delicious Spanish cuisine. Interested in shopping? If so, there are a wide variety of interesting shops, boutiques and even open air markets that offer most anything you want to purchase. Most cafes, restaurants, and shops close for an afternoon siesta, a break where everything grinds to a halt and residents take a rest. Because of this, it's not uncommon for Spanish businesses to stay open rather late.

If you're in the mood for something active, Seville features fine golfing, hiking, biking, watersports and even state of the art fitness centers. After the sun goes down, Seville's fantastic nightclubs open up. Dance all night with the locals or enjoy some great live music at one of the many quaint pubs and tapas bars.
