I haven't used this yet but it is perfect for me - I will be moving soon to a place with lots of wandering dogs - I have a mini poodle that is somewhat of a baby and very timid - this will come in very handy for those walks that he needs - in fact this is perfect - price and shipping were awesome too - I highly recommend these - also I will be traveling alone for about 5 hours - these make me feel confident and free from worry of unwanted attention from anyone...

Service was very good and speedy for USPS, but the postage costs were very high compared to the actual cost of the product. The 1st one they sent was faulty but they replaced it immediatly on request without asking me to send back the faulty one, which would have been very difficult considering the nature of the product. No complaints in the circumstances.

To see if this product worked I was sprayed with a short 1/2 second burst in the eyes. The pain was the worst I had ever felt. This spray made my eyes close shut and made my face burn very badly for about 20-30 minutes. I also had a very difficult time breathing and was no good to do anything. This spray produces a dual action effect and what I like about it is if you were to spray someone and miss their face but still hit the upper torso area the Tear Gas still vaporizes and takes effect.
Shots a strong stream about the width of a coat hanger out to 12 feet.
Mace is one of the best brands because of the flip top cap and grip dispenser as well as the exceptional quality control standards they have in place. Worth every penny.

Just wanted to let folks know, this is a rather smallish bottle. Another seller is selling a larger one. I think this one will be better for purses, jogging ladies, and so on. I carry the big bottle and my big mitts can conceal it pretty well but I don't think there are many ladies who could say the same.
From reviews I've read this stuff is supposed to be capable of chasing off grizzly bears. Like the other reviewer, I hope I never have to use it.
