The Pros:
A lot of different sizes for all calibers, and each tool has it's own indentation so parts aren't jumping around or being mixed up.
The Undecided:
The case itself has a nice lining on the inside, but the outside is "loud" and has HOPPES logo proudly displayed. I'm not a fan of large logos on my tools and equipment, but if that's your thing, okay. The case could easily be dented because its aluminum, but it's not like you're taking it through the mountains, so not a big deal.
The Cons:
The cleaning patches included in the kit are thin and wouldn't be of any good use. The patch holding rods(The smaller rods that attach to the larger rods and are designed to hold patches to clear the barrel) are made of plastic... Plastic. Even military issue patch rods are stainless steel... lol. However, all other rods are brass, a plus.
I was undecided on whether to give this item 3 or 4 stars, but in the end i gave it a 4-star because....
Ultimately, regardless of the case and plastic end rods, HOPPES Universal Gun Cleaning 26-Piece Accessory Kit serves it's purpose. Period. If you own a few firearms, this is a good kit that won't break the bank. I would recommend getting some different patches though.

This is very cheap made. Not worth half the price. I would think Hoppes would have more pride in their products.

I am just starting out and needed a few different caliber bore brushes. Honestly for the price stop at your local gun shop to buy a good rod for the weapon(s) you own, purchase the specific bore brushes seperatly you will get a better value. The carry case serves it purpose and carries the items but is fairly worthless, latches are cheap case is cheap.
Live and learn, hope this helps you from learning the same way I did.

The product is okay at best, but the bore brushes are thin and weak compared to Winchester brushes sold per-caliber. The rods are okay and very soft (won't mar barrels) but, for pistol use you have to screw in an adapter, the extensions do not use the same threads as standard brushes, jags and mops, it's a minor annoyance but they tend to add up and overall make this kit seem pretty cheap and flimsy.
The case has space for everything and is nice if you just want a quick clean up kit at an alright price. If you buy it and throw away the brushes and replace them with thicker, better brushes it will be alright, but you still have to screw on that adapter.
Field & Stream 28 Piece Gun Cleaning Kit has better rods that are all compatible with brush threads, and comes with 2 nylon tooth style brushes
