Nothing beats a maglite. Solid construction that will last forever! Can you get a brigther smaller flash light? Sure, but can you do it for under [...] bucks or even under [...]? The added length and weight also make this a great defensive weapon if needed.

I have had mine for years and it has never let me down. It does not use up batteries as fast as other flashlights too. It has a very solid body, so it doubles as a defensive weapon. I have one in my car and one at home. I also have 2 4D cell LED Maglites for times when I need to walk around the neighborhood.

Built solid and is super-bright. I tested it at night and it lights up the whole downstairs from our landing as if it were daytime. The back of the light sets comfortably on your shoulder while holding it with one hand at shoulder height facing forward - it's big. Only downside is that it doesn't come with the batteries, so count on another 6+ dollars.
