Air Travel - ways to fly comfortably and smoothly!

Taking a long boring flight can be one of life's most dreadful experiences. Sitting a place for hours is really uncomfortable. But, thankfully there are several ways to make you feel great when you thousands of feet up in the air. First and foremost, you should choose your airplane seat wisely. When you first book your flight, try and get a seat near the aisle or near the front. If you can get the front row, this will be great for you because they offer a lot of leg room and it almost feels like you're in first class for the coach price.

Nobody likes to fly for hours without any entertainment. Therefore you should bring a mp3 player, cd player, or whatever portable music player you have. Ensure that you have enough batteries to last the length of the trip. Listening to music can be quite relaxing. If you love reading then you can bring some interesting reading material. Time will pass by much quicker when you are reading something you like.

Airlines also offer great in-flight entertainment to the passengers. One of the easiest ways to limit in-flight torture is to watch the movies they show, read the magazines in the pouch in front of you, listen to the music on their stations, etc. Also, bring some food and a drink with you on your carry-on baggage, so you can have them while watching a movie or listening to your favorite music. Choose food that are easily portable, won't create much of a mess, and doesn't require heating. As for drinks, bottled water is probably the best choice.

Don't resist the body's response for a rest. Sleeping as much as possible on a flight is a great way to refresh your body pass those hours. Be sure that you bring your own neck rest. No matter how many pillows you stuff under your head, it won't feel as comfortable as sleeping on a neck rest. Also, keep stretching your legs by taking walks along the plane. This will keep the blood circulating in your legs and will decrease the chances of stiff legs or pain.

One of the advantages of flying solo is that you get to meet a variety of strange and interesting people that are sitting next to you. Break the silence of your neighbor by introducing yourself. You may be surprised to discover how fascinating your neighbor is and learn more about a different culture and lifestyle.

If you plan on taking a long flight, earplugs will be your best friend if you plan on sleeping or you don't want to have your ears popping constantly. Another way to relax is to take your shoes off. Your feet will swell during the flight so it's best to give them freedom and room. Most importantly, dress comfortably and try to wear loose clothes. The best suggestion is a t-shirt and comfortable pants. Also, bring along a sweatshirt or something that you can wear in case the air conditioning is too much for you.
