Overall length: approx. 16 inches. 10 inch 1095 High Carbon Tool Steel blade. 1095 steel is also referred to as "Cutlery Spring Steel" This particular steel is well known for its use in making commercial saw blades & recognized for its cutting & edge holding ability. It hones to an unbelieveable edge and retains its edge better than Stainless steel. This steel will rust over and needs to be oiled after use just like a fine gun. Even though this is a large Bowie it really feels great and well balanced in the hand. Features Deer or Elk antler crown burrs or Elk stick handles. Inlcudes a handmade laced old western style sheath that is considered "Western Shooting" era authentic.
